Albert Polman
In the period March 2003
- February 2004 I have spent a sabbatical year as a visiting associate in the group of Prof. Harry Atwater
at CALTECH. I have also worked closely with the group of Prof. Kerry Vahala.
My research topics during my sabbatical study were optical properties of
active silica micro-resonators as well as surface plasmon nanophotonics. In
February 2004 I have returned to my home institution, the FOM-Institute for Atomic and Molecular
Physics (AMOLF) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I remain affiliated with CALTECH
as a visiting associate in the Applied Physics Department.
